Korean President Lee Myung-bak, Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao, and Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda gathered together in Beijing, on May 13 and 14 for the fifth session of their annual trilateral meeting.
The three sides discussed matters of mutual concern that cover both regional and global issues as well as the co-prosperity of East Asia, including the Korean Peninsula agenda. Other topics for the annual talks also included cooperation in economy, finance, and agriculture alongside sharing information for better disaster control management.
The three leaders adopted a joint statement as an outcome of the tripartite summit, calling for closer ties in the realms of investment and agriculture.
